Kavyashree Gowda is a Kannada television actress and model from Channapatna, Karnataka, who has built her career primarily in Kannada television. Before entering acting, she worked as a journalist and television host for a local channel in Bengaluru. Her transition from journalism to acting came from her interest in the entertainment industry, eventually leading her to make her television debut in 2012.

She became widely recognized for playing the title character Mangala Gowri in the popular Kannada serial Mangala Gowri Maduve, which established her as a familiar face among Kannada television viewers. Her portrayal of Mangala was appreciated for its distinct identity from the earlier Putta Gowri character, and the role became the defining part of her television career. In 2021, she also received an Anubandha Award for her contribution to Kannada television.
