Bigg Boss Kannada season 9

Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 was the ninth season of the Kannada version of the popular reality television franchise Bigg Boss. Hosted once again by Sudeep, the season premiered on September 24, 2022, on Colors Kannada and streamed digitally on Voot Select. Produced by Endemol Shine India under Banijay, the season became notable for bringing together former contestants and top performers from the OTT edition along with fresh celebrity participants.

The season lasted for 98 days and featured 18 contestants living inside the Bigg Boss house under continuous camera surveillance. Like previous seasons, contestants competed in tasks, captaincy challenges, nominations, and eliminations while being isolated from the outside world. The show also included additional digital segments such as “TV Ginta Modalu,” “Unseen Kathegalu,” “Extra Masala,” “Bigg Bang,” and 24/7 live streaming on Voot Select, increasing audience engagement beyond the televised episodes.

Actor and television personality Roopesh Shetty won the season after emerging as one of the strongest contestants throughout the competition. Rakesh Adiga finished as the runner-up, while Deepika Das secured the second runner-up position after making a dramatic re-entry into the show following an earlier eviction. Other finalists included Rupesh Rajanna and Divya Uruduga.

The contestant lineup included several notable Kannada television and entertainment personalities such as Anupama Gowda, Amulya Gowda, Kavyashree Gowda, Neha Gowda, Saanya Iyer, Mayuri Kyatari, Arun Sagar, Prashanth Sambargi, Aryavardhan Guruji, Vinod Gobbaragala, and Aishwarya Pissay. The season was especially appreciated for its mix of strong personalities, emotional friendships, entertainment-focused tasks, and intense audience discussions on social media.
