Originally from Mangalore, Karnataka, she spent part of her childhood in Coimbatore before returning to Mangalore during her teenage years. She completed her pre-university education at St. Aloysius College and later earned an engineering degree from Srinivas Institute of Technology. Before entering the entertainment industry full-time, Gaana built a successful corporate career, working with companies such as Infosys, Apple, and Yahoo, where she held leadership responsibilities in Bangalore.

Biography

Despite her technology background, creativity remained a constant part of her life. She began modeling in Mysore in 2011 and gradually expanded into fashion, media, and digital content creation. During her stay in the United States, she walked fashion ramps, collaborated with designers, and appeared in several California-based fashion magazines including Surreal Beauty, 7 Hues, Sheeba, and IMirage. Her online presence also grew through her YouTube dance platform “Desi Twist,” which became popular for viral dance videos and attracted a large subscriber base. She later launched her personal YouTube channel focused on lifestyle, beauty, and creative content.

Gaana made her acting debut with the telefilm Taxi 24/7 in 2015 and soon became active across short films, commercials, web series, and regional cinema. She appeared in projects such as Sketchu, Silent Date, Vasantha Sameeram, Maruvarthai Pesadhe, Purple Night, and Un Kadhal Enne Thottu Selluthe. She also had a cameo appearance in the Telugu film Ninnu Kori starring Nani.
