Akash R. Jagga is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi television and digital entertainment. Born on October 6, 1997, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, he developed an interest in acting after completing school and began participating in theatre after Class 12. He later moved to Mumbai and trained at the Barry John Acting Studio, while also working in advertising and commercials for brands including Grand Hyatt, Maruti Suzuki, Reliance, Jaguar, Tata Finance and Toyota. His combination of theatre experience and formal acting training helped him transition into professional screen work.

Jagga began gaining television recognition with Kasautii Zindagii Kay, where he played Kaushik Chakraborty. He subsequently became more widely known as Gagan Narayan in Sasural Simar Ka 2, a role that brought him recognition among Hindi television audiences. In 2022, he joined Pyaar Ke Saat Vachan Dharam Patnii as Malhar Thakur, taking on a markedly negative character that allowed him to explore a more manipulative and ambitious personality. Jagga has spoken about initially being hesitant to accept negative roles, but ultimately viewing Malhar as an opportunity to challenge himself and move beyond the image created by his earlier characters.

After his television work, Jagga deliberately took a break from daily fiction rather than repeatedly accepting similar roles. He later explained that he had been receiving offers for characters resembling his previous negative parts and did not want to become typecast, making the nearly year-long break an important period in deciding the direction of his career. His return came with Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani on Sun Neo in 2025, where he played Kundan, his first full-fledged lead role. Because the story was set in Rajasthan and he was born and raised there, Jagga said the project felt particularly personal to him. Kundan's emotionally layered journey, involving tradition, responsibility, guilt and protection, gave him an opportunity to take on a substantially more prominent character.

Beyond acting, Jagga has developed interests in writing and continues to look for opportunities that allow him to explore different creative formats. He has said that he began writing short stories while still in school and eventually returned to writing after his theatre years and move to Mumbai, with several projects prepared even though he has not yet commercialised them. During Beendani, he also performed physically demanding action sequences, including a wedding track involving running and motorcycle scenes despite a recent foot injury. His current filmography extends into short-form digital entertainment, with 2026 projects including Naagvansham, Nakali Zindagi Asli Taakat, Genius Beta on Mission, Mast Maula Zindagi, Naseeb, Mehnat Aur Jeet and Meri Dulhan Nikli Villain. His journey from Jaipur theatre and commercial work to television, a deliberate career break and eventually a lead role reflects his continuing effort to diversify his acting range and move into newer forms of Hindi digital storytelling.
