Biography

Yamuna spent nearly 15 years in the United States, where she worked extensively as a Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and cultural ambassador for Indian classical arts. During her stay abroad, she trained and taught Bharatanatyam to hundreds of students, helping promote Indian culture internationally. After returning to India in 2012, she transitioned into acting and soon entered the Kannada entertainment industry.

Her breakthrough came through television serials such as Ashwini Nakshatra, Kamali, Manasaare, and Kanyakumari. She later participated as a contestant in Bigg Boss Kannada 11, which further increased her popularity among Kannada audiences.

Alongside television, Yamuna has appeared in numerous Kannada and Telugu films, including Ranna, Shivalinga, Jaguar, Yuvarathnaa, Love 360, and Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side B. Her career reflects versatility across supporting roles, character-driven performances, and dance-oriented appearances.
