Pragya began her acting career in the Tamil film industry with Varalaru Mukkiyam (2022), where she starred opposite Jiiva and played the role of Jamuna. Although the film received mixed to negative reviews, her screen presence and performance gained attention in the industry. She later appeared in films such as N4 and the Malayalam socio-political drama Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna, where she portrayed a Kannada girl.

Over the years, Pragya expanded her career into Telugu cinema with Laggam and continued working in Tamil films, including Baby and Baby (2025).
