Pooja Chopra is an Indian actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder who rose to national prominence after winning Femina Miss India World 2009 and representing India at Miss World 2009, where she became the first Indian to win the “Beauty with a Purpose” title. Born on 3 May 1986 in Kolkata, she was raised by her mother after her father left the family at birth, an experience she has spoken about openly. She later grew up in Mumbai and Pune, completing her education at Ness Wadia College of Commerce.

Following her success in pageantry, Pooja Chopra transitioned into acting, making her debut with the Tamil film Ponnar Shankar (2011) and gaining wider recognition with Commando: A One Man Army, which marked her breakthrough in Bollywood.
