Chitra first appeared in the Hindi film Chal Bhaag (2014) as a dancer in the song “Madam Ji.” She later made cameo appearances in Puli and Nenu Sailaja. Her appearance in the song “Crazy Feeling” from Nenu Sailaja caught the attention of filmmakers, leading to her Telugu lead debut opposite Sree Vishnu in Maa Abbayi.
Following her breakthrough, Chitra appeared in several Telugu films including Rangula Ratnam alongside Raj Tarun and Silly Fellows with Allari Naresh. She also worked in films such as Thellavarithe Guruvaram, Pakka Commercial, Uniki, Hunt, Masthu Shades Unnai Raa, Kaliyugam Pattanamlo, and Aho Vikramaarka. In Kannada cinema, she made a special appearance in Jani.
Known for her screen presence and versatility, Chitra Shukla continues to build her career across multiple South Indian film industries. Her upcoming projects reportedly include Kaadal, a love story set in 2004, and the Tamil film Naa Naa alongside actor Sasikumar.
