Chitra first appeared in the Hindi film Chal Bhaag (2014) as a dancer in the song “Madam Ji.” She later made cameo appearances in Puli and Nenu Sailaja. Her appearance in the song “Crazy Feeling” from Nenu Sailaja caught the attention of filmmakers, leading to her Telugu lead debut opposite Sree Vishnu in Maa Abbayi.
Following her breakthrough, Chitra appeared in several Telugu films including Rangula Ratnam alongside Raj Tarun and Silly Fellows with Allari Naresh.
