Summary
Angana Roy is an Indian actress who works primarily in Bengali films, television and web series. Born on April 9, 1998, in Kolkata, she began her acting journey as a child artist in Alo (2003), directed by Tarun Majumdar. After taking a break from acting, she returned to the screen through Bengali digital entertainment and gradually built a reputation for choosing varied characters across films and OTT projects.
Her digital career gained momentum with projects such as Shei Je Holud Pakhi, Paap, Tansener Tanpura and Mohomaya. She received particular recognition for Tansener Tanpura, before appearing as Young Rajlokkhi in Hoichoi's Srikanto. She also played Sanchari, an amateur vlogger who becomes closely connected to Indubala, in Indubala Bhaater Hotel.
Angana made a notable transition into prominent film roles with Pariah Vol. 1 (2024), in which she played Kamalini opposite Vikram Chatterjee. She has described the character as an important experience in her career, and the film's sequel, Pariah Volume 2: Rise of Kalbhairav, gives her character a further role in the story. Her other screen work includes Lukochuri, Roktokorobi and #Homecoming.
In television, Angana appeared as Parbati in Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle in 2023–24, marking her first major television experience. She later chose to focus more strongly on films and web projects, and her recent credits include Winkle Twinkle, Kuheli and Ei Shohorer Gaan.
