Biography

She made her debut as a lead actress in Student of the Year, directed by Karan Johar. Although the film was a commercial success, Alia gained widespread critical recognition with her performance in Highway, where she portrayed a young woman dealing with emotional trauma and self-discovery. The role established her as a serious performer and earned her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. She continued to strengthen her career through successful films such as 2 States, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Raazi, where she played an Indian spy during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
