Roopesh Shetty is an Indian actor, filmmaker, radio jockey, television personality, and model who primarily works in Tulu, Kannada, and Konkani entertainment. Born on 14 August 1991 in Mangaluru and raised in a Tulu-speaking Bunt family, he has become one of the most recognizable personalities from Coastal Karnataka.

Roopesh began his career in 2012 as a YouTuber, creating Tulu comedy videos and music albums. He later worked as a radio jockey and video jockey in Mangaluru, which helped him gain popularity among regional audiences. His acting career started with a supporting role in the Tulu film Dibbana (2014), followed by his first lead role in the Tulu film Ice Cream. He made his Kannada film debut in 2016 with Danger Zone and subsequently appeared in several Kannada, Tulu, and Konkani productions.

A major turning point in his career came with the success of Girgit, which brought him widespread recognition in the Tulu film industry. He later appeared in films such as Govinda Govinda, where he played Srinivas, and Manku Bhai Foxy Rani, in which he portrayed Rajesh Kudthamuger. His work across multiple languages has established him as a versatile actor with a strong fan following.

Roopesh achieved statewide fame in 2022 by winning both Bigg Boss Kannada OTT Season 1 and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9. Winning both formats in the same year made him one of the most successful contestants in the franchise's history and significantly expanded his popularity across Karnataka.

In recent years, he has continued to diversify his career. He appeared as ACP Roopesh in Geetasakshigaa, acted in Circus, and in 2025 starred as Sathya while also directing the Tulu-Kannada film JAI. He is also credited as the lead actor in Bro.
