Ravindra Kishan Shukla, popularly known as Ravi Kishan, is a multifaceted Indian actor, politician, film producer, and television personality born on 17 July 1969 in Bombay, Maharashtra. With a prolific career spanning over 200 films, he has become a powerhouse in Bhojpuri and Hindi cinema, as well as appearing in Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil productions. After gaining early attention in the 1990s and through the film Tere Naam (2003), he transitioned into Bhojpuri cinema, where he achieved superstar status. His versatile acting range is further evidenced by roles in critically acclaimed projects such as Mukkabaaz, Raavan, and Laapataa Ladies (2024), the latter earning him both Filmfare and IIFA Awards for Best Supporting Actor. Beyond cinema, Kishan is a seasoned television host and reality star, appearing in Bigg Boss and hosting shows like Bathroom Singer and Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka. His influence extends into the political sphere as a prominent member of the BJP; he has served as the Member of Parliament for Gorakhpur since 2019, securing victories in both the 2019 and 2024 general elections.
