Biography

Payel began her acting journey with Bengali films such as Sudhu Tumi and Bibar, later gaining popularity through commercially successful movies like I Love You, Prem Aamar, Le Chakka, and Bojhena Shey Bojhena. She earned critical appreciation for films including Chotushkone, Jomer Raja Dilo Bor, and Avijatrik. In 2015, she made her Hindi film debut with Guddu Ki Gun. Over the years, she has continued appearing in Bengali films across genres ranging from romance and comedy to thrillers and drama.

Apart from films, Payel also worked in Hindi television serials such as Love Story, Waqt Batayega Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya, Shakuntala, and Ladies Special. She later expanded into digital entertainment with Bengali web series including Sharate Aaj, Mismatch Season 3, Shobdo Jobdo, and Kaantaye Kaantaye on platforms like Hoichoi and ZEE5.
