Swaminathan Anantharaman

Swaminathan Anantharaman is an Indian actor and model who has worked across Kannada, Tamil and Telugu television, as well as Kannada cinema. Born on April 12, 1995, he began his entertainment career after pursuing engineering and developing an interest in modelling and acting. During his college years, he participated in short films and eventually moved into television, making his Kannada television debut with Mithuna Raashi in 2019.

In Mithuna Raashi, Swaminathan played Mithun, a prominent character in the Kannada family drama aired on Colors Kannada. He subsequently moved into Tamil television with Kaatrukkenna Veli, where he portrayed Surya Mahadevan. His performances across these projects helped establish him as a multilingual television actor, allowing him to work with audiences in different South Indian entertainment industries.

Swaminathan gained another prominent role as Vikramaditya in the Telugu serial Nuvvu Nenu Prema, opposite Pavithra B Naik. The series premiered on Star Maa in 2022 and followed the relationship between businessman Vikramaditya and Padmavathi. He also appeared in the Kannada serial Aragini 2, again playing Vikramaditya, making the project another notable entry in his Kannada television work.

In 2023, Swaminathan joined the Tamil serial Mahanadhi as Vijay, a role that brought him further recognition among Tamil television viewers. He later expanded into Kannada cinema with Kamarottu 2, a 2025 horror-thriller starring Priyanka Upendra, Rajini Baradwaj and Nagendra Urs. The film follows a young couple facing supernatural occurrences in an old house, with Swaminathan among the principal cast.
