Bigg Boss Bangla Season 3

Bigg Boss Bangla Season 3 marks the return of the Bengali edition of the Bigg Boss franchise after an almost decade-long hiatus. The third season premiered on August 30, 2026, on Star Jalsha, with streaming available on JioHotstar. The season is hosted by former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, replacing the hosts of the first two seasons, Mithun Chakraborty and Jeet. The original Bigg Boss Bangla debuted in 2013 on ETV Bangla, while its second season aired in 2016 on Colors Bangla.

The 2026 season features 15 contestants drawn from Bengali entertainment, music, sports, entrepreneurship and social media. The confirmed lineup includes Monami Ghosh, Bharat Kaul, Durnibar Saha, Sohini Paul, Niranjan Mondal (Laughtersane), Nandini Dutta, Srijla Guha, Dipendu Biswas, Tanushree Roy Das, Anindya Sengupta, Sayak Chakraborty, Joyita Chatterjee, Alexandra Taylor, Jhilam Gupta and Sonamoni Saha. The diverse casting brings established television and film actors together with singers, digital creators, an entrepreneur and former footballer Dipendu Biswas.

Several contestants already have strong profiles in Bengali popular culture. Monami Ghosh was the first contestant to enter the house, while veteran actor Bharat Kaul entered second. Singer Durnibar Saha, actress Sohini Paul, television actress Srijla Guha, and X=Prem actor Anindya Sengupta represent the entertainment industry. Social-media personalities such as Niranjan Mondal (Laughtersane), Sayak Chakraborty and Jhilam Gupta add a digital-content dimension, while Dipendu Biswas, a former footballer and politician, brings a sporting background to the cast.

The comeback is particularly notable because Bigg Boss Bangla had been off television for roughly 10 years. The first season in 2013 was hosted by Mithun Chakraborty and won by singer Aneek Dhar, while the second season in 2016 was hosted by Jeet and won by Joyjit Banerjee. Season 3 represents a major relaunch under Star Jalsha, with Ganguly's presence giving the franchise a prominent new face. The house itself reportedly covers around 7,000 square feet and incorporates Bengali cultural motifs including trams, fish, the Bengal tiger, royalty, music and the Ambassador taxi.
